Moving with the NumPad Empty Moving with the NumPad

Is it possible to use the NumPad to move in Pokemon Zeta/Omicron? The Pokemon Zeta/Omicron wiki says that it can be used for movement but i cannot get it to allow me to move. Can someone tell me how to activate NumPad movement if possible thanks.
