Sludge Wave Double Battle Bug Empty Sludge Wave Double Battle Bug

I was battling with my gligar and victreebel against a wild tentacool and a wild wingull. I used Protect with Gligar and Sludge Wave with Victreebel, and after the message text "Gligar protected itself" nothing happened and the two enemy pokemon were not attacked, not even mentioned a miss or something, just skipped. Thanks
